Preparation First and foremost you are going to make Peppers and potatoes! You are going to need a deep pan for frying. Cut potatoes in a thin shape, along with the different peppers (I used yellow, red and green ones) the red ones are the spiciest. Add them to the pan only after adding five spoons of virgin oil olive. (You do not need to wait for the oil to warm up) it will take about 40-45 min to cook, remember to stir them often and to put the flame on the low after the first 20 minutes. Once ready, put aside and let them cool off with no cover on it. Open your favorite tuna can (I get mine at the Italian deli) eliminate some of the oil coming with the can. Toast the two slices of Bread, once down with that add the tuna, the peppers and potatoes altogether. Bon Appetite' ! ![]() Quick Salad On The Go Ingredients;

![]() Ingredients Split Pea Soup Ingredients:
![]() In a 4-quart stockpot on medium heat, saute the onions and garlic with the olive oil, salt, and pepper until the onions are translucent, 10 to 15 minutes. Add the carrots, potatoes, 1/2 pound of split peas, and chicken stock. Bring to a boil, then simmer uncovered for 40 minutes. Skim off the foam while cooking. Add the remaining split peas and continue to simmer for another 40 minutes, or until all the peas are soft. Stir frequently to keep the solids from burning on the bottom. Taste for salt and pepper. Serve hot This is my favorite soup, which is why I love making a few times per year especially when the weather gets colder. Have fun making this recipe for a cozy autumn night. :) |
